How to Choose the Right Size if I’m Plus Size?
We’ve taken the confusion and guesswork out of choosing your correct size. At Dale and Waters, we’re all about helping you look and feel beautiful, confident and ready to meet the day.
What is Dual Sizing
Available across our entire range, dual sizing offers greater flexibility and take the stress out of clothes shopping by making it easier for you to find the right size.
Offering a range of sizes, instead of single fixed sizes, allows us to offer better value and a wider range of unique and flattering styles, that can accomodate a more inclusive range of body shapes and sizes.
With more flexible sizing, you can be guaranteed a more relaxed, versatile, comfortable and forgiving fit that will continue to flatter your shape, so you can wear and enjoy them for many years to come, even as your body shape, or needs may change.

Try looking for styles with extra tucks, pleats and gathers, or look for stretch fabrics for extra comfort
How do I choose my size?
At Dale and Waters, our plus size clothing is designed to be more on the generous side.
If you are in-between sizes (say you’re between a size 24 and a 26) dual sizing means our garments are sized towards the upper end, of the side range, giving you that extra comfort and making all the difference to your look
Tips for getting the right fit
The key to choosing the right size is to know your body shape and know which areas are the most important in getting the best fit. Whether it is your hips and tummy, your arms, or your bust, we’ve got styles to suit every shape.
To find the right fit to flatter your shape, ask yourself: Do you like a more tailored look, or do you prefer a loose, relaxed look, or do you have areas that are hard to fit?
One easy way to get a more relaxed fit, particularly if the garment is a smaller make, has a straight cut, or has narrow sleeves is by going up to the next size, to give yourself that extra comfort.

A line and swing tops and dresses offer extra room at the hem, for hips and tummy, without upsizing your shoulders and bust.
Extra comfort where you need it.
If you prefer a looser, more relaxed style, or you are bigger in the hips and tummy, try looking for tops, dresses and nighties with a relaxed and flowing shape.
A line and swing tops and dresses are ideal, especially if you’re in between sizes, as they offer extra room at the hem. for hips and tummy, without upsizing your shoulders and bust.
You can also look for garments with tucks, pleats, yokes or extra gathering for a more flattering fit. Try focusing on those garment features that best fit your 'hard to fit' areas.
For example, If you are bigger in the bust, you might look for darts or shirring across the bust. Pleating from the shoulders or neckline can also be very flattering, especially when combined with a scoop neck to draw the eye.
For extra coverage in the arms, try looking for styles with loose fitting, gathered or bell sleeves. Stretch fabrics can also be useful to give that extra confidence and peace of mind.
